Minuku — Privacy Policy

Minuku is a personal offer-scoring tool for gig delivery driving. This policy describes, completely, what the app does with data — there is nothing beyond what's written here.

What Minuku does not do

Minuku has no account system, no login, no backend server it talks to, and no advertising or analytics SDK of any kind. Nothing you enter into the app — your target pay, vehicle cost, settings, or delivery history — is transmitted anywhere unless you send it yourself (see What you can choose to send). It is not sold, shared, or used for any purpose beyond running on your phone.

What Minuku stores about your deliveries

To show you what you actually earned per hour, Minuku keeps a local record of each delivery it observes:

• the merchant (restaurant or store) name, and its street address — a business address, used to tell two locations of the same chain apart so wait times are learned per store;
• the pay, mileage, and item counts from the offer;
• timestamps for accept, arrival, pickup, and drop-off, so it can work out drive and wait times;
• your own settings — target pay, vehicle MPG, time-model numbers, blocked merchants;
• notes and photos you add yourself to a store or a delivery. These are only ever written by you, stay on the phone, and are never included in a problem report.

Minuku does not store your customers' names or delivery addresses. The driver app shows both on screen, and Minuku reads that screen — but customer names and drop-off addresses are deliberately never written to storage. Nothing about the person you are delivering to is kept after the screen is gone.

Where that record is kept

• In the app's own private storage on your phone.
• Copied automatically into Download/Minuku/ (backups made before the name change sit in Download/Glance/) as a .zip, so your earnings history survives an uninstall or a cleared app storage.

The Download/Minuku/ folder (and Download/Glance/, for backups made before the name change) is ordinary phone storage, not private to Minuku: anything there can be opened by a file manager, read by another app you have granted storage access to, and picked up by any cloud-sync or backup app you have set to sync your Downloads folder. It contains the delivery record described above — merchants, pay, mileage, and times. Minuku itself never uploads it anywhere. If you would rather it did not exist, delete the folder; Minuku will simply create a fresh backup the next time, and you can leave the folder deleted without affecting how the app scores offers.

Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing — Minuku never sees or stores your payment details. Play tells the app only whether the purchase went through.

What reaches the network

Gas price lookup (off unless you turn it on). If you switch it on, once a week Minuku fetches the average fuel price for your state from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (api.eia.gov), using an API key built into the app. The request contains only that key, the fuel type you chose, and the state you picked — no GPS location, no device identifier, and nothing about you or your deliveries. Like any web request it comes from your phone's internet address. While it is off (the default) Minuku uses the price you enter and makes no requests of its own at all.

Google Play. Purchases, subscription checks and app updates go through Google Play on your phone, under Google's own privacy policy. Minuku sends Google nothing about your deliveries.

What you can choose to send

Nothing below happens on its own. Each one opens your phone's share or email screen, and you pick the recipient and press Send.

• Problem reports. “Report a bug” writes an email to Minuku support with your phone model, Android and app version, a description of the problem, and a diagnostics file: Minuku's own log of the screens it read. Customer names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and drop-off notes are removed from that log before it is written, and your own notes and photos are never included. It goes through your own email app; Minuku has no server to receive it.
• Exports and backups — the tax CSV/PDF, stats cards, and backup files go wherever you share them.

Delete your data

Minuku has no accounts and no server, so the only data of yours the developer can hold is what you chose to email: problem reports and support messages. To have them deleted:

1. Email glance7864@gmail.com from the address you sent them from, with the subject "Delete my Minuku data".
2. Every email and diagnostics file received from that address is deleted within 30 days, and you get a reply confirming it. Nothing is kept.

Even without a request, problem reports are used only to fix Minuku and are deleted once the problem is fixed.

Everything else Minuku stores lives only on your phone and is yours to remove: uninstalling Minuku (or clearing its storage in Android Settings) erases the app's copy, and deleting the Download/Minuku/ folder (and Download/Glance/, from before the name change) removes the backups. Purchase records belong to your Google Play account and are managed there.

Permissions

• Accessibility service — used to read the text of three kinds of DoorDash Dasher screen: offer screens (pay, miles, time, stops, merchant names and item counts) so Minuku can grade each offer; delivery screens (pickup and drop-off status and DoorDash's deadlines) so it can run your trip timers; and earnings screens (daily and dash totals and active time) so it can check its records against DoorDash's. In other apps it notes only which app is open, so it knows when to hide. It also draws the verdict overlay over DoorDash. This is read-only: Minuku never performs a tap or gesture on your behalf, on any app. The verdict overlay itself is non-interactive — every touch passes straight through to the app underneath — apart from tapping Minuku's own card to expand it. If you turn on the optional Button marks setting (off by default), a red mark over the button Minuku advises against takes your first press and asks "Sure?"; your next press goes to the delivery app. What Minuku keeps from the screens it reads is exactly the list above, and none of it is transmitted anywhere. (Minuku does not request the separate "Display over other apps" permission — the accessibility service draws the overlay directly.)
• Notifications — used only for the on-screen status indicator and the daily reconcile reminder.

Changes to this policy

If what Minuku collects or does ever changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change with it.
